Call for Artists | Accessible Expressions Ohio 2018, Juried Exhibition

The AEO Call for Art is open to artists of any age, who are residents of Ohio and have a disability. *As defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, a disability is a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity. Applicants need not disclose their actual disability. Submissions must have a visual component. Deadline to submit is December 1, 2017.

Call for Artists | 2017 Writer in the Window | Appletree Books

For a second year, Appletree Books is inviting writers and artists of all ages, formats, and genres in the Greater Cleveland area to celebrate the imagination and determination of writers by writing in our store. Participants do not need to be professional writers or writing a novel to be a part of this project. Think of it as performance art, a way to gain a different perspective on the world, a break from routine, or a unique way to embed yourself in the workings of a bookstore.

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is seeking youth and student artist work for their Mythical Creatures public exhibition. From the powerful dragon to the soaring phoenix, Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is challenging all Northeast Ohio students to grab their favorite art supply and use their creativity to create their own mythical creature. Deadline to submit is Friday, November 10, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.

Open Call for "Cleveland's Smallest Gallery"

Introducing Phone Gallery - Cleveland's smallest gallery - annexed to the front of Russ' Auto Care in the Waterloo Arts District across the street from Waterloo 7 Studios and Praxis Fiber Workshop.
Originally conceived in 2013 by artist Ivana Medukic of 'Project Pop-Up Galleries' and architect Ali Lukacsy, Phone Gallery demonstrates the transformation of an otherwise vacant and underutilized "space" - in this case, an abandoned phone booth - into an inventive place for art display.

Call for Entries | Dominion 2017 Community Impact Awards

Dominion Energy is seeking to award community projects that demonstrate economic and/or social revitalization. Each year Dominion Energy, through the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation, awards $110,000 in grants to nonprofits making an impact in our community. The Community Impact Awards competition, co-sponsored this year with Cleveland Magazine, has awarded more than $1.6 million since 1996 to organizations in our service area. Deadline to submit is November 30, 2017. 

Dia De Los Muertos - A Celebration of Life

Florida CraftArt invites artists to submit work for an exhibition showcasing original artwork that represents the theme: “Día de los Muertos, A Celebration of Life.” It is an open, national juried call-to-artists curated by St. Petersburg-based artist Mark Noll.

Call for Submissions | Gordon Square Review, online literary magazine

Literary Cleveland is pleased to introduce Gordon Square Review, an online literary magazine published biannually to showcase emerging writers nationwide, award editing mentorships, and provide a venue to spotlight Northeast Ohio writers. Submissions for GSR's first issue are open now through October 15th, 2017. Submissions are free, and accepted contributors will be paid a modest honorarium. 

Portage Park District Foundation Juried Arts and Crafts Sale

The Portage Park Foundation is looking for artists to submit their arts and crafts in a juried art sale held on December 7 and 8 from 3:00 – 8:00 at the Downtown Gallery located at 141 East Main Street, Kent.  Painting, photography, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, metals and mixed art mediums will all be considered. We will also consider note cards and stationery.
