Open to all playwrights age 18 or older who are permanent residents of any county in Northeast Ohio.

PLAYWRIGHTS LOCAL announces its 2017 OPEN SUBMISSION PERIOD.
Playwrights Local seeks original, unproduced plays for our 2017-2018 programs, including the 3rd Annual Cleveland Playwrights Festival (Fall 2017) and the developmental Play Lab (Winter/Spring 2018). Playwrights may submit up to two pieces: one ten-minute play and one one-act or full-length play. All unproduced, original plays for adult audiences are accepted, including one-person plays. (Not accepted: children’s plays, musicals, adaptations of copyrighted material, and translations.)
Introducing Phone Gallery - Cleveland's smallest gallery - annexed to the front of Russ' Auto Care in the Waterloo Arts District across the street from Waterloo 7 Studios and Praxis Fiber Workshop. Originally conceived in 2013 by artist Ivana Medukic of 'Project Pop-Up Galleries' and architect Ali Lukacsy, Phone Gallery demonstrates the transformation of an otherwise vacant and underutilized "space" - in this case, an abandoned phone booth - into an inventive place for art display.
