Call for Submissions | Literary Cleveland, Who We Are, Where We Live

Award: Inclusion in online anthology and featured reading

Deadline: 06/16/2017

Guidelines link: Click here for guidelines

Disciplines: Literary

Location: Local (Cleveland Area)

Organization: Literary Cleveland

Literary Cleveland is seeking submissions of first-person stories, essays and poems written by people who live and/or work in Buckeye Shaker, or have personal ties to the community.

Selected works will be published in an online anthology on the Lit Cleveland website and promoted widely. Contributors will be invited to a final reading and celebration planned for Sat. July 8th from 1-3 pm at Loganberry Books, and may be asked to read from their work.

Submissions can be in any genre and ideally no more than 1,000 words. We are especially looking for stories from individuals who don't consider themselves to be writers, but have a story to tell. Participants do not have to live or work in the neighborhood (for example, if you grew up here, you may write about those experiences). Submissions will be reviewed by a committee comprised of Lit Cleveland staff, teaching artists and volunteers.

Deadline for submissions is Friday, June 16th 2017. Please see the Guidelines link above for full info and submission instructions.
