Gordon Square Arts District
Gordon Square Arts District is now accepting applications for the Winter 2018 Gordon Square Artist-in-Residence. This installment of the Gordon Square Residency Program will focus on actors, playwrights, and performance artists, and the selected proposal will have an emphasis on installation-based performance pieces that will connect the local community with the arts.
Now in its second quarter, the Gordon Square Arts District (GSAD) nonprofit organization will tap into the rich theatre community and network of performers located in the Gordon Square Arts District neighborhood. There are 5 performance-based theatres located in the neighborhood, including Cleveland Public Theatre, Near West Theatre, Talespinner Children’s Theatre, Theatre Ninjas and Blank Canvas Theatre.
GSAD will support the residency through an artist stipend of $5,000, project costs, and free use of the Gordon Square Art Space micro-gallery at 1386 West 65th Street. Interested artists will need to submit a completed application form by December 10, 2017 at noon, and send questions to email@example.com.
Gordon Square will announce the selected Artist-in-Residence the week of January 2, 2018, and the residency will take place January 2018 through March 2018.
