Visitor Engagement Associate

The first face of MOCA Cleveland, the Visitor Engagement Associate enthusiastically welcomes and guides visitors on their experience of the Museum. The Visitor Engagement Associate ensures a consistent, intentional, and memorable experience for all museum visitors, modeling superior customer service that goes beyond transaction, integrating inquiry-based engagement into their interactions, and providing guidance and concierge services as necessary. Led by the Visitor Engagement Manager, this role/person maintains the appearance of the Mandel Welcome Center, Kohl Atrium, and Cleveland Foundation Lobby as directed. This position also provides support for the Museum’s tour program, helping schedule and coordinate confirmed tours.

Managing Producer, Arts and Culture

Position Summary:

Create and supervise the creation of high quality multiple media content, projects and events. Host and moderate on-air, online, and community events.

Director, University Art Galleries

Responsibilities include directing the daily operations of the university’s art galleries, including the well-respected Emily Davis Gallery in the Myers School of Art; curating and presenting regional and national exhibitions; and managing the art collection of the Myers School of Art.

Job functions involve: day-to-day gallery administration including budget management, record-keeping, exhibition installation and de-installation, art handling and storage, facilities maintenance and security, and collection management; curating exhibitions; grant-writing, fundraising, and development; public relations including writing publicity materials, organizing public events, managing mailing lists, website, and social media; supervision of student assistants; committee service; other duties as assigned by the Director. Teaching opportunities in the University of Akron Arts Administration program or Myers School of Art may be available.

Encore Cafe Manager

Beck Center for the Arts seeks an experienced and talented individual to join us in the role of Manager for our onsite Encore Café. The Manager is responsible for creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for patrons, serving as the lead bartender/barista, managing other part-time café staff and volunteers when necessary, and managing Encore Café as Beck Center’s primary bar and concessions operation. Aligning with the organization’s mission, vision, and values, the Encore Café Manager is responsible for product management, merchandising, full profit and loss control, and personnel development.

Development Officer, Foundation Relations

The Development Officer, Foundation Relations is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with foundations and other strategic partners. With moderate supervision and in collaboration with Development colleagues and Museum staff and trustees, the Development Officer will identify and maintain contact information for appropriate prospects, create cultivation strategies, build relationships, author grant proposals and budgets, and manage post-award administration. The Development Officer is responsible for creating an annual development plan that aligns with the Museum’s strategic priorities and fundraising goals. The position includes responsibilities for submitting state and federal grant applications in coordination with curatorial and education colleagues.

Technical Theater Director

Western Reserve Academy is seeking a Technical Theater Director who will assume the responsibilities for the technical operations of the Knight Fine Arts Center, including lighting, sound and set construction. Start date: July 1, 2016.

Audience Engagement Coordinator

The position works with the company’s Director of Marketing and Strategic Advancement to engage new and existing audiences and exceed earned income goals by cultivating/activating relationships with targeted audience segments, businesses, community organizations and promotional partners.

The position also produces a series of audience engagement events, coordinates the editorial process for all institutional playbill publications, manages the operations of an on-site gift shop and curates/develops content for the company’s website and social media networks.
