Submission Instructions: The Grant Writer is an hourly position, working approximately 15- 20 hours per week on site and remotely as needed. Pay commensurate with experience. Hours can be flexible.

The Grant Writer duties will include, but are not limited to:
Write high-quality grant proposal narratives, applications, and supporting documents
Responsible for researching, collecting data, and writing of each grant and final report
Understanding of institutional history and programs
Work with staff to compile financials and data
Manage the proposal submission process to ensure timely submission of all required
Develops and maintains a proposal calendar,
Coordinate and follow-ups on the progress of submitted proposals, maintain records (database & paper files)
Develops an annual grants strategy
Conduct prospect research to identify, cultivate and solicit new grants
Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:
Strong written communication skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals
Strong editing skills
Attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines
Knowledge of fundraising information sources
Experience with proposal writing and institutional donors
Knowledge of basic fundraising and research techniques and strategies
Strong contributor in team environments
Able to monitor and meet income goals

Experience with grant writing and non-profit fundraising. Minimum of two-years preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree
Able to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently with purpose as well as the ability to work well in a team environment,
Proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Organization: Art House, Inc.

This is a part-time position that reports to and works directly with the Executive Director. The writer will become part of the Art House team and work with all staff as needed. She/he will be responsible for writing proposals for unrestricted operating revenue, programming specific awards, and for submitting timely and accurate reports for all existing grant funded projects.
