CLEVELAND, Ohio – A local collaboration between grassroots volunteers and a coalition of foundations and science-based organizations is planning a March for Science to take place at Public Square on April 22. Expected to draw thousands of supporters, March for Science Cleveland is a satellite march to the national March for Science held the same day in Washington, D.C. The local event is meant to underscore the vital role scientific research plays in our daily lives and celebrate the impact of science in the Northeast Ohio community. All are welcome to attend this free event.

In addition to the march, the day includes many activities that promote the importance of understanding science, advocacy for scientific research and highlighting the history of scientific breakthrough and discovery in the region. Activities for children and adults begin at 9 a.m., a rally with speakers and entertainment begins at 10 a.m., and the march kicks off at 11 a.m.
