Auditions for "Sherlock Holmes Meets the Bully of Baker Street"

Great Lakes Theater (GLT) announces open auditions for non-equity actors for the Classics On Tour production SHERLOCK HOLMES MEETS THE BULLY OF BAKER STREET, a play for young audiences, written by Education Outreach Associate David Hansen, and inspired by characters created by Arthur Conan Doyle.

Those auditioning should bring a headshot and resume and prepare two contrasting monologues. Total audition time should not exceed three minutes. Applicants must have a driver license and a reliable automobile. A background check will also be required. Audition slots are available on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Audition sessions will take place in a Playhouse Square Rehearsal Hall, 1650 Chester Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44114. Callbacks will be held Wednesday, September 25.

Available Roles:
Seeking four ensemble performers of diverse cultures, perspectives, skills and experiences (age range: 20s - 50s) to portray nine characters. Actors who play a musical instrument are encouraged, though not required, to bring it to the initial audition. All positions are paid.

Auditions for "Shrek The Musical"

Beck Center for the Arts is pleased to announce auditions for replacements for our holiday season encore of SHREK The Musical.

They are searching for Actor/Singer/Dancers ages 17 to 45 for the following tracks:
Audition Preparation: Please prepare one vocal selection, ideally from the Musical Theatre canon. Bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided. Singing a capella is highly discouraged. Song length should be no longer than 90 seconds. Dance calls will be held during call back sessions only.

Rehearsals will occur on Sunday/Monday evenings until Dress/Tech Week. Performance dates are December 6, 7, & 8.

Audition Info:
This is an anthology of four plays in one and they are looking for over-the-top characterization! They are looking for a multi-generational cast between 15 and 25, some roles may be doubled. The rehearsal schedule is somewhat flexible due to the nature of the script; however, if your role is doubled, it increases your requirement of attendance. Please consider all conflicts when auditioning.

Auditions for "Aladdin Jr."

Auditioning students in Grade 4 through College
Monday, October 7, 6-9 PM OR Tuesday, October 8, 7-10 PM
(some call backs Wed, Oct 9, 6-7:30 PM)
The auditions are held with all actors together. It is a relaxed atmosphere and they ask that students stay for the whole time. Please be prepared to sing up to 32 bars of a show tune or Disney song acapella and you will do some reading from the script.

Please bring a prepared song in the style of the show that best demonstrates your vocal range and ability. An accompanist will be provided. It is STRONGLY encouraged that all people auditioning bring sheet music for the accompanist.
Please bring comfortable shoes and clothes for movement. All people auditioning will be asked to demonstrate their ability to do basic choreography.

Auditions for "Jingles of Christmas Past"

What: Vocalists: Come prepared with one vocal excerpt from a Christmas song (not Jingle Bells!), no more than 1 minute in length, that best shows your voice. You may sing acapella or bring a track (we will have speakers available for your device – no CD’s please).
Non-Vocalists: There will be cold readings from a script for your audition. No preparation needed.

IMPORTANT: Due to adult language and situations, all individuals under the age of 18 are required to be accompanied by a parent to auditions - permission slip required!

Auditions for "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever"

Auditions will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd and Wednesday, October 23rd from 7-9pm
All auditioners are asked to come prepared to cold read from the script. The theater also asks that you bring a current headshot and resume with you to auditions.
Rehearsals will begin on October 27th and generally run Sunday through Thursday evenings.

Auditions for Improbable Players 2019-20 Season

Improbable Players uses theater performances and workshops to address addiction, alcoholism and the opioid epidemic. Seeking auditions from performers in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction for paid acting work. We strongly encourage people of color, LGBTQIA+, Ages 18-40 and differently abled people to audition. Auditions are accepted by appointment only, on a rolling basis.

Auditions: Sunday, October 6 from 6:00-8:00pm & Tuesday, October 8 from 6:30-8:30pm
Audition Information:
-Auditions will be held at The Geauga Lyric Arts Center, 106 Water St, Chardon, OH 44024 (across the street from the theater)
-Please bring a resume, headshot and 32 bars of a song not from the show, prepare your sheet music for an accompanist. No a capella or taped music. If invited to callbacks, scene work, and further music will be given.

Auditions for "Medium Rare"

Medium Rare at the Olde Towne Hall Theater in North Ridgeville is casting for 2 lead male roles. The roles are for those who are 20 to 40 years old. Medium Rare is a fun two act drama/comedy.
