City of Lakewood
The City of Lakewood’s public art program creates opportunities to bridge communities through social offerings in shared public spaces.
Since 2016, the City has been investing in public-private art projects to increase its value as a place that attracts and retains residents, entrepreneurs, employees, and entertainment offerings. The City is now launching the Art in the Parks Program. The goal of Art in the Parks is to provide creative social seating in the city parks.
• Include a typed letter explaining your interest in the project and your general approach/concept to its design and production. Please do not submit design proposals at this time.
• Up to 10 images of past work including title of work, date, medium, budget and project partners, if any.
• Résumé, not to exceed 2 pages per artist.
• Three professional references, including current phone number and email.
Save all required materials as a PDF to a digital storage device (USB drive, CD, etc.) and include ONE HARD COPY of the application materials. The digital storage device must be clearly labeled with name and contact information of the applicant. All pages should include proposer’s name and contact information. All submissions become property of the City of Lakewood and will not be returned.
