Disciplines: Not Discipline Specific

Location: Local (Cleveland Area)

Lakewood City Schools are seeking artists of all disciplines to assist Pre-K through Grade 12 students with their project submissions for this year's National PTA Reflections Program.

On Saturday October 19th, from 9 am to 3 pm, the Lakewood Council of PTAs will hold its first joint workshop for students who would like to submit a work of art to this year's Reflections program. Students will work independently on their submissions, with help from experts in visual arts, writing, dance, film and music.

The city of Lakewood, Ohio has a long history of supporting the Arts. And, the Lakewood Council of PTAs is dedicated to inspire and nurture all students through fun, creative self-expression. For 50 years, National PTA’s Reflections program has given over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12, each year, an outlet to create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. The theme for the 2019-2020 program year is Look Within. Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.

With your help, we hope to encourage and support more students to express themselves.

If you are interested in providing your expertise to students in one of the creative discipline areas, please see the GUIDELINES LINK above for the submission form. This is a volunteer position, designed to help students develop their love for the arts and learn from real, local working artists.
