Center for Arts-Inspired Learning
Center for Arts-Inspired Learning is currently seeking Professional Teaching Artists for their Spring 2021 Session.
This program extends January 26 – April 29, 2020, Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30pm – 7:30pm. Some weekend hours may be required to prepare for their final showcase (Date TBD).
It is preferred that applicants have at least 3 years’ experience working with high school youth and demonstrates proficiency in their chosen art discipline. A background check is required.
They are currently looking for artists in photography and recording arts.
The Center for Arts-Inspired Learning’s ArtWorks is an arts-based job training and college readiness program for Northeast Ohio’s 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students.
Teens from Cuyahoga County Schools are enrolled to train under the guidance of master teaching artists, who mentor them in an art form while teaching them 21st century skills.
The apprenticeship experience allows students to develop time management, professional communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills, which are transferable to any workplace or college.
Apprentices also participate in workshops that focus on financial literacy, resume writing, financial aid applications, and interview skills.
