We are a great nation whose whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Our people bring diverse traditions, knowledge and beliefs to this land and, as a result, it has flourished.
This exhibit is intended to showcase a wide range of views and perspectives on immigration in, and its influences on, the United States today.
This exhibit is open to all artists, over the age of 18, living in northeast Ohio. You do not have to be an immigrant to apply. We are looking for both 2D and 3D artwork in any medium. All submitted work must be original and completed within the past three years. Each artist is welcome to submit up to 3 entries. Artwork must be framed (if media applicable) and ready to hang (wired backs with D hooks, if possible.)
Registration fee is $20 for up to 3 submissions and is due at the time of submission. Entry fees are non-refundable and allow the applicant to submit up to 3 works. Please make out the check to: Beachwood Arts Council and mail to: Leah Gilbert, 3264 Belvoir Blvd., Beachwood,
Please submit high-resolution images, at least 300 dpi. If submitting 3D work, please submit additional images that show the entire piece. Note: Artists also may become BAC members by visiting our website:
Submission Deadline: August 15, 2020
Notification of selected/non-selected artwork: September 1, 2020
If selected, a formal contract will be mailed to each artist who must complete it and
return it to Leah Gilbert. (See address above)
Accepted artwork must be delivered to the Beachwood Community Center (25225 Fairmount
Blvd. at Richmond Road) on Monday, October 5, 2020 from 10 – noon
