Rooms To Let: CLE returns to Slavic Village to transform houses and community this May!
Cleveland’s most captivating immersive art experience, Rooms To Let: CLE will be entering its 6th year as it embraces vacant homes and the community of Slavic Village. Three homes slated for demolition will evolve into temporary art exhibitions as artists explore a range of themes, room by room. In addition to the houses, guests can expect to explore vacant lot installations, live performance art and get crafty with hands on activities.
Preceding the opening weekend May 18-19th, this year’s edition will feature a community art project where the Visit Arts Collective will be working with neighborhood students to create an outdoor installation at the Gertrude Art Gardens; a vacant lot project designed as an extension of Rooms To Let: CLE.
The Visit Arts Collective will be joined by new curators, Acerbic and Shari Wilkins of the Print Room to lead three teams of artists in the spaces during the month of May. In addition, street clean-ups will be organized in May with neighborhood residents and stakeholders.
If you are an artist interested in submitting a proposal to transform a room, please find the application form in the GUIDELINES LINK ABOVE. Proposals are due Friday March 15th at 5:00pm. Artists will be notified by early April.
