As we return to project based granting, SPACES is committed to supporting as many artists as possible with this opportunity. For that reason, The Satellite Fund will provide grants of $3,000 each to 20 artists or artist collectives in 2021. Deadline to Apply, May 31, 2021.
The Satellite Fund, administered by SPACES and supported by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, is an opportunity for Cuyahoga County artists, curators, and cultural producers to create a public visual art project (in-person or virtual) in Cuyahoga County. This grant is not only for established visual artists in the community, but also for emerging artists, creative professionals, and any Cuyahoga County resident with a strong vision and demonstrated ability to complete the proposed project. The scope is purposefully broad; we want this opportunity to be as accessible and far-reaching as possible to ensure we represent Cuyahoga County to the fullest.
In addition to financial support, SPACES will provide access to our on-site artist workshop that is outfitted with tools and equipment to facilitate the production process. SPACES Artist Outreach Coordinator, Cierra Rembert, will also assist grantees in securing a public exhibition, display space, or virtual platform (outside of SPACES) in Cuyahoga County. Additionally, grantees will receive an annual SPACES Season Pass membership, which gives them free access to networking and artist professional development opportunities throughout the year.
