Be the first to take this brand new class! In this workshop students will learn to make polymer printing plates for printing continuous tone photographic images on an intaglio press and making relief plates for both intaglio and letterpress printing. Students will make printing plates from their own images, drawings, collages, paintings, or any artwork which can be imported into Photoshop. Adobe Photoshop experience is strongly suggested, and experience with intaglio printing is recommended but not required.

Bob Herbst is a photographer, printmaker, and teacher and has been printing in a variety of photographic alternative processes such as platinum/palladium, carbon transfer, silver gelatin, and photogravure since 1970. His work can be found in the permanent collections of the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Progressive Insurance Corporation, and Washington National Cathedral.
