Artsy.net is a resource for students, teachers, art enthusiasts, curators and collectors. Artsy offers a variety of additional ways to learn about art and design, and its Art Genome Project maps the characteristics (“genes” as they call them) that connect artists, artworks, architecture, and design objects across history. There are currently over 1,000 characteristics in The Art Genome Project, including art historical movements, subject matter, and formal qualities.
