When considering all of the funding options available to individual artists, remember that there is no one strategy that works best in all situations.

• Keep your funding options open and your “toolbox” up to date.
• Do some research, and use the most appropriate tool for your need. 
• Develop an overall funding strategy with clear goals. 
• Approach multiple funding sources at once.
• Be persistent. 

If you get funded on your first ask, you’re one of the lucky few. Keep refining and improving your asks and applications. Keep finding new tools. Get creative!
