Located on Grovewood, one of the neighborhood’s laid back locales, creators of all backgrounds can find the space they need to do what they do best. Two ground floor commercial storefronts are available to be built to suit your needs. Both spaces provide just over 600 square feet of space that can be used to create your dream studio, gallery, or live/work retreat! The current storefront will soon be replaced with an entirely new system that retains the historic 1920s character of the property, while giving lots of natural light.

Live In Artist-In-Residence

Seeking artist applicants to rent space in a fine art printmaking community and live among other artists. All artist must have printmaking experience and currently be working in any fine art printmaking medium.

For just $200 per month you will have a private bedroom with a reserved shower and 24/7 access to print studio. Our studio is equipped with a letterpress, 2 etching presses, inking stations, screenprinting area, clean work-space area, 2 washing sinks, full kitchen and bathroom. Must be a responsible key holder to the printshop.

 

The Open Studio program allows artists and students access to studio space and equipment, and provides them with an opportunity to create art in the areas of papermaking, letterpress printing and bookbinding. http://morganconservatory.org/open-studio/

Praxis Fiber Workshop is for anyone interested in art! The idea for Praxis came to fruition when the Cleveland Institute of Art downsized the fiber department. Praxis took the existing fiber equipment (17 floor looms and assorted dyeing supplies) and opened a nonprofit fiber art center available to the CIA community and the greater Cleveland. Praxis offers studio space for local fiber artists and a gallery to promote the field of contemporary fiber art.

On Wednesdays and Saturdays through the month of November, Zygote Press continues advocating for artists and filling the void for resources that provide affordable services and valuable connections by opening our gallery space to our members for documentation/viewing purposes.  Members can reserve our gallery space for either full or half days to install works to be photo-documented or to hold studio visits with independently scheduled curators.

The Academy has a wonderful gallery featuring works in all mediums by regional artists, working artists studios, an exhibit hall, a music stage and the Fiber C.A.F.E. (center for alternative fiber experience).

ARTFUL’s mission is to establish and nurture affordable space that supports and educates artists in their mission to create, sell and display their art while making creativity and inspiration more accessible to the community at large.

ARTFUL has 24 studio spaces of varying sizes from 90 sf to over 500 sf. They rent for various amounts.

The Lake Erie Building and Templar Industrial Park, also known as the Screw Factory, is a large, 18-acre complex. It is perched on the edge of Lakewood's historic Birdtown Neighborhood at the corner of Halstead and Athens Avenue.
