Within the University Circle/Little Italy neighborhood, you will find the Cleveland Institute of Music, the Cleveland Institute of Art, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, the Children’s Museum of Cleveland, the Cleveland Botanical Garden and Severance Hall, home of the Cleveland Orchestra. There are many restaurants and cafes in the area that feature nightly performances, and the Murray Hill Company, owner of an old school building, offers gallery/studio rentals amidst a rich cultural district.

Based on the 2011 “Putting Artists on the Map”, over 60 % of the artists in the University Circle/Little Italy artist neighborhood are visual artists. Those in design and interdisciplinary fields make up an additional 10.9 % each, followed by musicians (6.2%), craft (3.1%), media (2.3%), literary (2.3%), theater (1.6%), and education (1.6%).
